Referees

Sign up for games here: ClubSpaces D4 system.

New and existing referees, please note:

1) EVERYONE needs to Create a NEW ACCOUNT in the ClubSpaces D4 system.  We are cleaning up the system for 2010, so everyone needs to start over before they can sign up to referee games.

2) PRINT out and submit a volunteer form for 2010.  This has to be done every year.  Turn it in with ID to a Board Member or at a Refresher Course or Referee Training date.  You may also set up a time with Regional Ref Administrator Chris Hoolihan to bring it by his house.  Email him for directions.

3) GAMECARDS -  all referees must submit completed game cards to the Regional Ref Administrator this year.  Please print your name and sign.  We also would like you to rate the players, coaches and spectators on sportsmanship (1-5 rating).  Instructions are on the back of the card.  Game cards can be mailed to Chris (see PO Box link on Board Directory page).  There will also be periodic drop sites throughout the season or they can be turned in at the monthly AYSO Board Meetings (see schedule on Board Directory page).

Questions?  Email the regional referee administrators, Chris Hoolihan (
lcaysorrahooli@aol.com) or Tom Hoff (thoffayso@gmail.com).

How to Become a Referee

1) Attend a class (see schedule above)

2) Register as a volunteer in eAYSO.  This has to be done every year.  Click
here for directions on how to submit your Volunteer Form. After registering as a volunteer in eAYSO you will be issued a number which can be used to enroll in Safe Haven online training (focuses on safety and appropriate behavior with children as well as first aid and other on-field issues). All referees must be Safe Haven certified.  If you have already done this for Coaching or other volunteer positions, you are done.  You only need to do it once.

3) Create an account in the ClubSpaces D4 system.

4) Get your uniform by emailing Tom Hoff (
thoffayso@gmail.com)

5) Sign up for games in the ClubSpaces D4 system.

6) Turn in game cards by mailing them Chris Hoolihan.
